St Mary’s Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule

Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting, repentance, and confession. It is also the first day of Lent, a 40-day period of reflection and preparation for Easter.

The name Ash Wednesday comes from the practice of placing ashes on the forehead as a sign of repentance. The ashes are made from palm leaves that were blessed on the previous year’s Palm Sunday.

While Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation, many Catholics choose to attend Mass and receive ashes on this day. St Mary’s will offer three opportunities for Mass with Ashes:

* 7:00 am in English in the Church

* 12:10 pm in English in the Church

* 7:00 pm in Spanish in the Church
