Mercer General Education Requirements

All students at Mercer University must complete a set of general education requirements in order to graduate. These requirements are designed to ensure that students have a well-rounded educational experience and develop critical thinking skills.

The Mercer College of Liberal Arts

The Mercer Registrar

The Mercer Registrar is the central office that handles all student records, including transcripts, class schedules, and graduation requirements. The Registrar also manages the university’s course catalog and degree programs.

The Mercer Registrar’s Office is located in Connell Student Center, Suite 135. The office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Mercer University has a semester-based academic calendar with Fall and Spring semesters. Each semester is approximately 15 weeks long, with a final exam period at the end of each semester.

Classes at Mercer are generally scheduled between 8:00am and 9:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am to 4:30pm on Fridays; however, some classes may meet at other times or on Saturdays. The Mercer University Minors

The Mercer University Minors program offers a variety of academic programs for students who wish to pursue a minor. The program is designed to supplement a student’s major area of study and provide additional breadth and depth to their educational experience.

There are currently over 60 minors offered at Mercer, ranging from Accounting to Women’s Studies. Whether you’re looking to explore a new subject area or enhance your skills in your field of interest, there’s sure to be a minor that’s right for you.
