A Brief Overview
Elementary education in India is a fundamental right for every child between the ages of 6 and 14 years, as per the Right to Education Act (RTE), 2009. The RTE Act came into effect from 1 April 2010 and mandates free and compulsory education to all children in the age group of 6-14 years.
